About the Winery:

In 2007 the Rowe Family purchased a farm in Red Hill, Victoria which was primarily used for cattle and fruit trees. After being in the liquor industry for over 35 years, wine became a strong passion with the dream of owning and working a vineyard. The dream has now become a reality and now our passion is to make the best wine from one of the best wine regions in Australia.

About the Winery:

Gippsland Wine Company vigneron, Mark Heath, spent 40 years’ working across wine sales, marketing and production in Barossa Valley, Clare Valley and Yarra Valley before venturing into his own vineyards in Gippsland, finally settling at Loch. Mark’s long experience and knowledge of the industry prepared him for his role as Associate Judge at the Gippsland Wine Awards. As well as Loch Village Vineyard, Mark sought out neglected vineyards for long term contracts, coaxing them back to life rather than reverting them to grazing pasture. Site selection is invariably north-south planting to provide a bit of westerly leaf cover from the sun and wind.

The Boucher family has a long tradition in wine making, spanning five generations. Luke Boucher’s great grandfather emigrated from Scotland in the 1850’s, purchasing a 1000-acre farm in Indigo Valley, Northeast Victoria. He planted vines and made wine onsite, starting a passion for winemaking and viticulture, that has been passed through each later generation.

The Provençal vineyard is nestled between the Mediterranean and the Alps. Under the southern sun, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking.
